Hamedan

Hamedan Tepper: Hamadan-teppet knyttes i regionen rundt byen med samme navn. Noen av de persiske teppene som knyttes i landsbyene og byene rundt byen, er svært forskjellige i farger og mønster. Likevel dominerer det velkjente Herati-mønsteret og klassiske farger som blått og rødt. I tillegg er geometriske mønstre spesielt vanlige i vevene.

Persian Tepper: Persian rugs are world famous for their quality and beauty. Genuine Persian rugs are hand knotted and the wool is dyed with natural vegetable dye. Characteristic for Persian rugs are also the elaborate patterns in floral and geometric shapes. The most famous provenances in which rugs are knotted are Nain, Sarough, Tabriz, Isfahan, Kashan, Bidjar and Ghom.

Chain from virgin wool: Hand-spun virgin wool is used by nomads not only in the pile, but also for the warp (the base fabric).

Hand knotted quality: Hand-knotted rugs are true works of art and, depending on the quality, require very good training and a high degree of patience. Knotting by hand makes the rugs much finer, smoother and higher quality than with other methods.
