Bachtiar Tepper: The Bakhtiari rugs is knotted by the Bakhtiari tribe of the same name. The former nomads are now mostly settled and live in the west of Iran. Today, however, these rugs are becoming increasingly rare, as hardly any new Bakhtiar rugs are knotted. Well-preserved specimens are highly sought after by enthusiasts.
Indian Tepper: The knotting of rugs in India dates back to the Mughal Empire in the 16th century. At that time, knotting factories were built according to the Persian model. The influence of the patterns can still be seen today even though Indian rugs are very good quality, especially in new creations.

Chain from virgin wool: Hand-spun virgin wool is used by nomads not only in the pile, but also for the warp (the base fabric).
Hand knotted quality: Hand-knotted rugs are true works of art and, depending on the quality, require very good training and a high degree of patience. Knotting by hand makes the rugs much finer, smoother and higher quality than with other methods.
